Questions UAE manufacturers ask us
Can Zoho Inventory handle bills of materials?
Yes. Each finished product gets a bill of materials listing its components and quantities. When you record an assembly, Zoho Inventory takes the raw materials out of stock and adds the finished goods in one step.
Can we track production stages on the factory floor?
Zoho Inventory records the assembly itself, not the stages in between. For stage tracking we build job cards in Zoho Creator, with each stage signed off before the next can start, as we did for Nan-Kee Jewelers and Champion Speed Garage.
How do we see the real cost of each product?
With bills of materials in Zoho Inventory and a chart of accounts structured for manufacturing in Zoho Books, the cost of the materials each product uses flows into cost of goods per product line, so margin per product comes from the books rather than a spreadsheet.
Can Zoho track batches and expiry dates?
Yes. Zoho Inventory supports batch tracking with manufacturing and expiry dates, and serial numbers, so you can trace which batch went to which customer.
Does UAE eInvoicing apply to manufacturers?
Yes, for sales to businesses and government, and for the invoices your suppliers send you. Both go through one Accredited Service Provider. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Businesses below that appoint one by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027.
